Church School in Clam Pass Beach Cleanup

On Saturday, March 22, our church school children and their parents took part in a meaningful environmental initiative — cleaning Clam Pass Beach as part of the "Keep Collier Beautiful" project. This event was not just an opportunity to contribute to the preservation of God's creation, but also a way to instill in our youth the values of stewardship, responsibility, and community service.

With gloves on and trash bags in hand, the group set out early in the morning, eager to make a difference. The children, guided by their parents and teachers, combed the shoreline and surrounding areas, picking up litter and debris that had accumulated over time. From plastic bottles to fishing lines, every piece of trash removed was a step toward keeping our local beaches pristine and safe for wildlife and visitors alike.

Participating in "Keep Collier Beautiful" allowed our church school to take an active role in caring for the environment, reinforcing the Orthodox Christian teaching that we are called to be stewards of God’s creation. Through this project, our children learned that even small actions—like picking up a stray wrapper or properly disposing of waste—can contribute to a healthier planet.

The event also served as a beautiful bonding experience for families and fellow parishioners. Working side by side, parents and children shared in the joy of giving back to the community while strengthening their relationships.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the children, parents, and volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to this important effort. Especially, we are thankful to Ms. Mika Nikolic for her initiative and organizing this event. May this experience inspire us all to continue living out our faith by serving both our community and the world around us.
